Delivery Settings Help (Admin)

Overview

Delivery Settings is the admin interface for enabling and configuring the delivery (okihai / unattended delivery) service and the delivery locker service at the facility level. Access it from the Delivery Settings tab within the Delivery Management (Okihai Manager) page.

Use this page to toggle each service on or off, and to configure the locker pricing plan and KEYVOX device when the locker service is enabled.

Detailed Features

Feature 1: Service Toggles

The "Feature Settings" section lets you independently enable or disable each delivery service for your facility.

Setting Description
Enable delivery (drop-off) feature Allows parcels to be left at a designated location (no locker required)
Enable delivery locker feature Activates the KEYVOX-integrated smart locker delivery box service

Note: When the locker feature is off, all detailed locker settings (pricing, device selection, etc.) are hidden. Enabling the locker feature reveals the full configuration form automatically.

Feature 2: Plan Type

Selects the billing model for the delivery locker service.

Plan Type Description
Storage days limit Residents are charged based on how many days their parcel is stored. A daily overage fee applies after the free storage period
Monthly usage limit Sets a free usage count per month. Excess usage is either blocked or charged, depending on the overage policy
Storage days + Monthly usage A hybrid plan combining both limits

The plan type can be changed after saving.

Feature 3: Storage Days Settings

Displayed when the plan type is set to "Storage days limit" or "Storage days + Monthly usage".

Field Description Default
Free storage days Number of days parcels can be stored at no charge (0–30) 3 days
Fee per day Per-day charge that applies after the free storage period 100

Example: With 3 free storage days and a 200 JPY/day overage fee, the resident is charged 200 JPY/day starting on day 4.

Feature 4: Monthly Usage Settings

Displayed when the plan type is set to "Monthly usage limit" or "Storage days + Monthly usage".

Overage policy options:

Policy Description
Block usage Once the free usage count is exhausted, residents cannot use the locker again until the next month
Charge fee Residents can continue using the locker, but each additional use is charged at the overage fee rate

When "Block usage" is selected, the overage fee field is grayed out and disabled.

Feature 5: KEYVOX Locker Selection

Associates a KEYVOX device with the delivery locker service. When the locker feature is enabled, the system automatically fetches the list of registered KEYVOX devices.

  • If devices are available: Select from the dropdown
  • If no devices are found: A "No KEYVOX lockers found." message is displayed

Feature 6: Currency

Sets the currency used to display and calculate all fees.

Saving Settings

After configuring all options, click the Save button at the bottom of the page. A "Settings saved." confirmation message appears on success.


Setup Example

Scenario: Launch a delivery locker service with a storage days plan

Goal: Offer a locker service with 3 free storage days and a 200 JPY per-day overage fee.

Step 1: Enable the features

  • Toggle on "Enable delivery (drop-off) feature"
  • Toggle on "Enable delivery locker feature"

Step 2: Select a plan type

  • Choose "Storage days limit"

Step 3: Configure storage days

  • Free storage days: 3
  • Fee per day: 200

Step 4: Select a KEYVOX device

  • Choose your facility's locker device from the dropdown

Step 5: Confirm currency

  • Select JPY for Japanese Yen

Step 6: Save

  • Click the Save button

FAQ

Q: What is the difference between the delivery feature and the locker feature?

A: The delivery (drop-off) feature allows parcels to be left at a designated location (no physical locker needed). The delivery locker feature uses a KEYVOX smart-lock-equipped box to store parcels securely. Both features can be enabled at the same time.

Q: Can I change the plan type after saving?

A: Yes. The plan type can be changed at any time. Since this changes how residents are billed, notify residents before making the switch.

Q: What happens to residents if the overage policy is set to "Block usage"?

A: Once a resident exhausts their monthly free uses, they cannot use the locker again until the following month's count resets.

Q: KEYVOX devices are not appearing in the dropdown. What should I do?

A: The KEYVOX integration may not be set up yet. See Lock Connection to verify your KEYVOX API key registration and device sync status.

Q: Can I change the currency later?

A: Yes. However, after changing the currency, review all fee amounts (daily fee, overage fee) since the numbers will be interpreted in the new currency unit.
